Unborn Babies are Affected by Iodine Deficiency
The headline should capture your ideal readers' attention and include your best
keyword. The World Health Organization is becoming increasingly alarmed by the increase in Iodine Deficiency worldwide. The cure costs a few cents each month and it doesn't require the aid of a health service.

Sydney, Australia - 15/122005 -

The World Health Organization is becoming increasingly aware of the return of Iodine
Deficiency at plague proportions worldwide. This is worrying because a little over
ten-years ago Iodine Deficiency was almost unheard of the developed world. The
biggest area of concern is for pregnant women because iodine deficiency whilst
pregnant results in children being born with:

1. Lowered IQ.
2. Poor reasoning powers.
3. Impaired function of Thyroid Glands.

Iodine deficiency can be wiped out at very low cost and without the help of
governmental health departments. More of that later.

According to WHO the following percentages of the 2003 population (by region) are
affected:

Africa: 42.6%
Americas: 9.8%
S.E. Asia: 39.8%
Europe: 56.9%
Eastern Mediterranean: 54.1%
West Pacific: 35.2%
World total: 35.2% or 1,988,700,000 people. This is a massive figure and it demands
urgent action.

Unborn babies rely on drawing iodine from the mother whilst in the womb and after
birth from breastfeeding. If you look at the figures above probably 30%+ of
pregnant women have insufficient iodine to pass on to their child. - In the worst
affected country in the world the IQ of the population rarely exceeds 85, a figure
that indicates that nobody can be educated above primary level.

The re-appearance of Iodine Deficiency is caused by a number of developed countries
changing from sterilizing milk containers from using iodine solution to using a
chlorine solution in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The iodine solution used left
a beneficial contamination of iodine sufficient to meet the needs of the body. The
cure is to throw away the salt you use at present and replace it with Iodinized
Salt. The cost is about 3 cents per month per family more and if you use it as you
use plain salt there is no taste difference but massive health benefits. My local
supermarket display 29 different salts of which only two are marked \"Iodinized Salt\"
and both were out of sight on the bottom shelf.
